The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is excited to welcome guests to our annual Merry & Bright Canopy Lights on the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour. This glowing treetop celebration brings the magic of the holidays to life! Experience a holiday adventure like no other: glowing canopies above, mesmerizing zoo animals all around, and magic in every moment.

This year’s event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following evenings: November 27 & 28; December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, and 26-31; and January 1 & 2. Final tours will depart at 7:30 p.m. each night. For extra holiday magic, on December 5th, guests can enjoy Holiday Fest at the NEW Zoo from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. before enjoying Merry & Bright, too! The Holiday Fest event is free with regular zoo admission.

During Merry & Bright, guests of all ages can journey through illuminated walkways and platforms suspended high above the forest floor. Thousands of twinkling lights transform the canopy into a winter wonderland, complete with enchanting photo ops (both on the ground and in the treetops!) and views of the zoo’s fascinating nocturnal residents.

“Merry & Bright is quickly becoming a fan-favorite family tradition,” says Nathaniel Wagner, Adventure Park Supervisor. “Getting to see the Canopy Tour lit up with so many lights, watching the animals play at night, and experiencing the quiet calm of the Zoo after dark is a unique experience unlike anything else in Green Bay. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season and we’re looking forward to another year of fun.”

Before or after enjoying the Canopy Tour experience, guests at Merry & Bright can warm themselves by a fire with hot chocolate and s’mores at the Adventure Park Base Camp Building. NEW this year: Kids can write letters to Santa and enjoy festive coloring pages and crafts, and every family or group can take home a commemorative Merry & Bright holiday ornament, too (while supplies last). Holiday shopping will also be available at the Base Camp and inside the Zoo’s Visitor Center most nights, and guests can purchase a membership to receive exclusive deals and discounts throughout the year.

Tickets for Merry & Bright Canopy Lights are $10 for Adults and $8 for Children (3-15) and Seniors (62+). Kids under 3 are free. Members receive a discount of $2 per ticket when logged into your membership account online or when purchasing tickets at the door. Group reservations and private evening bookings are available by request, too! Tickets are on sale now.
